Sidewalk & gutter grinding is a cost effective way to improve safety and water flow on existing concrete surfaces.  Over time the earth moves, and whatever is above it will move as well.  This can cause lifted or sunken areas in the concrete at cracks or at adjoining joints between two concrete slabs. 

One major cause of lifting concrete is when roots from nearby trees grow up under the concrete and over time raise the slab.  Other times it may just be the settling of the earth’s surface.  This can cause not only a problem with esthetics, but more importantly is a major safety issue.  Hardy and Harper is currently under contract with multiple municipalities to locate and correct their sidewalk trip hazards before they become a liability.

Sidewalk grinding is a quick and effective way to achieve the desired results without breaking the bank. Sidewalk grinding is a fraction of the cost of concrete R&R (removal and replacement) and substantially less than the costs associated with a trip and fall lawsuit.
